Air quality is always lovely, if you have a well you need to get it tested. Each one is different and a whole house filter can be useful. Swimming in lake Champlain is wonderful and just as nice as the beach.

Dogs love our water

Plants love the air quality.

In my experience, in many other states, it’s not unusual to see smog but it is a rare sight in Vermont. We typically have better stargazing as a result, even the milky way at times.

Agree with stockmom, get your well water tested, most well water is good, wise to confirm. Vermont is in top 10 states for drinking water quality.

(Test your radon too.)

Surely you could do a google search and find better data about our water and air quality rather than ask for anecdotes from locals who, for the most part, are not qualified to assess such things.

Merry Christmas. I don’t mean for this to sound dickish.

I’ve never smelled sweeter air than in Vermont on an evening in June, when the clover and milkweed are blooming.

But yeah, why are you asking a bunch of non experts when this information is probably available online?

I know this is dickish but we already have a housing crisis going on... Don't contribute to it

Why you got to say it like that? A lot of rural Vermonters and even city dwelling Vermonters are quite intelligent. After all, we're supposed to be the smartest state in the Union...
