Massive massive thanks. Power went out a few times today and was back up and running quickly each time.

Seriously. So many people rely on them. I hope they are compensated well. Thank you.

Dude, lineman make so much money. And when I worked for an electric company, they got paid triple pay to get called in. Even if it was a 20 minute job they got paid a minimum of 3 hours just to come in for it. And that's not even factoring in any OT on their already fair union wage. Lineman are absolutely banking right now. Also, good for them.

They deserve every penny of it and then some. Spent lots of years in the IBEW on the ground running a track hoe but those linemen are just crazy.

My husband is a line worker and his last day off was when we got back from vacation Dec 5. Between being on-call that first weekend and these weekend storms they are definitely earning their OT! So proud of them all :)

Huge thanks. Even if my power is out while I type this, I know they’re working on it. I’m sure today has been really hard for the power company workers, I commend thee.

All the upvotes for these workers, yes!!!! Thank you to those out there making life possible for the rest for us. Lost power for several hours today, just as we were fueling up the generator getting ready for a cold night - huzzah! Power restored!

And they just had to do it all last weekend.

Two of them spent four hours in the freezing rain chainsawing downed trees to get a power line off our driveway. We still don't have power but can safely come and go. True badasses.

Just got my power back after 19 hours! Thank you thank you to the linemen out there who worked through the night in brutal conditions to get it up and running again!!!

I'm so glad I have propane heat that doesn't require power and a gravity spring for water. Planning ahead for off grid living in the woods really paid off this year!

I hope everyones power is restored soon, stay safe and stay warm.

Powers probably gonna be out for a few days at least up here. They're doing their best, ofc.

Linemen got power back to most of my neighbors early evening yesterday. My house had the cable ripped off the side and the line broke so it’s taking longer. Fingers crossed it’ll be fixed tomorrow night. 60+ hours w/o power ain’t a good time.

just got power back in Middlesex. Big thanks to Washington Electric and Burlington Electric for working tirelessly to fix the lines so we can spend Christmas eve as a family 💙

Family member of a lineman here. Pay is good, yes, but it’s an extremely dangerous job made even harder in poor weather conditions. They earn every dime. Thank your area line crew!

Those dudes earn every damn penny of their pay. Give em whatever they want.
