Soups are good one-pot meals that only require a flat cooking surface. My favorite soups to make are Thai curry-style, broccoli cheddar, and good old chicken noodle.

go against the grain, cook some chicken soft tacos with caramlized white onions, some spanish rice, and heat up some black or refried beans.
the best time of the year is when we have the infinity freezer. keep some coronas in the garage near the door, chicken on the back porch under a heavy pot, and grill it all up on the vermont castings defiant. fill your home with exactly the wrong smells for this time of year, in a spiteful, haut cuisine irony that pleases the taste buds, warms the gut, and gives you the satisfaction of the last laugh versus the ice and wind
edit: i mis-spelled haute. it's not my word, i was faking that i knew how to use it.
but while i am editing: heat your soft tacos up! put a tiny bit of char on them. they are 10x better tasting

When I read this post, all I could see was the picture from a previous post above it of 4 bottles of booze. So from my perspective, that more or less answered the question

Put a quiche in the solar oven, a stew on the wood stove, and start frying the meat on your pocket stove.

LEAVE THE GRILL OUTSIDE PEOPLE. even if it’s cold. In your garage is not outside

I like making ramen with vegetables and dumplings. The vegetables can be frozen, sautéed or oven roasted and dumplings can be pan fried or boiled. You can also make this ahead of time and heat it up later in a pot.

I just make soups and freeze them in advance of big storms. Then you can just throw them in a Dutch oven to reheat.

Chicken Kiev. Cutlets pounded thin, wrap around butter. Coat with breadcrumbs (by alternating egg, flour, egg, breadcrumbs for extra crust). Wrap in foil. Submerge in some coals. Add baked potatoes and green beans by wrapping separately in foil. Basically anything that you can roast can be done in the coals.
