Yeah it’s still sinking in. Thank you so much I didn’t even think of Cabot!!

Thank you for the suggestion unfortunately we looked they’re not currently hiring for anything we’re qualified for!! Thank you so much though!

SD Ireland is a great company to work for, can’t say enough about them. If you want to bust your ass off you’ll go far within the company. Scott and Steven were some of the best bosses I ever had, although it’s been 10 years since I worked there and they have grown ALOT, but I doubt their values have changed. Seriously cannot recommend working there enough.
Otherwise GMCR isn’t far, Darn Tough/Cabot hosiery, Cabot creamery. Luckily there’s a lotta people hiring! Best of luck!!

The Ben and Jerry’s factory is in Waterbury.
Almost all ski resorts are hiring and low staffed I worked at Okemo and got an email at the beginning of the season that they are starting at 20 an hour now. I found my job there was pretty freeing and interesting of course there is good and bad with everything . Vail resorts owns a lot of the ski resorts now.

Ben and Jerry’s is always hiring, 18$ starting.

I heard you also get free pints every week ! 😂

The restaurants are always posting about job openings on Craigslist and fpf, pretty much all of them need at least support staff. Also Bolton Valley needs lift operators, the pay isn’t great but you get a free seasons pass and also the fringe benefit of being a Bolton person which makes your life instantly more interesting.

I know this is not in the area you asking about but Dynapower in South Burlington is looking for workers. I believe the starting pay is about $20.00 per hour for assemblers. Plus I think there is a $2,000.00 sign up bonus.

I worked in the Saint Albans plant and almost never got free pints. They are slave drivers. I hear Waterbury is better. Gradually getting worse since they sold out to Unilever. Excellent ice cream but I won't buy it on principle.

Depending on your experience, Turtle Fur is hiring. RK Miles needs people who can drive a forklift, though that one looks like there may be some interactions with customers when pulling orders. Seven Days usually has some great job listings that I don't see elsewhere.

Try VT creamery too. Similar to Ben and Jerry’s but easier to work for as there isn’t the heavy hand of unilever looming over the factory all the time.

Peruse that list, seems to be quite a few jobs!

Lamoille and Washington County Mental Health are always in need of good folks. Even if you don’t have a clinical background there may be something that’s a good fit for you, in a field where staff are critically needed.
Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your job, that's pretty heartless. I was just browsing for jobs too and saw Cabot has a bunch of jobs in Lamoille County.
