Yeah when it’s busy I can make 250 in a five hour shift which is exactly 50 an hour lol. And that’s lunch. This dude doesn’t know shit haha

Dude. Have lost your mind? I believe you make $50/hr waiting and bring home 100k like I believe my grandpa has tits. You're literally just making shit up.

After taxes $20/hr is ~13/hr. Where the fuck are you going to live bringing home $26k a year? Bullshit.

If the minimum wage had kept up with inflation and cola, it would be $27/hr.

I was making more at age 12 in 1973 when the minimum wage was $2.75/hr than I was making at my last "good" job.

I mean, before kids I bartended on top of my day job. I’d pull 3-400 a night three nights a week, claim the minimum and still have my day job. But I’d also pulled a lot of shitty shifts to get there. And yeah, that bought me my house.

So how your grandpas tits? Wouldn’t be the first one to have some so I’m not to shocked.

My dude, I know that. Restaurant work is hard as shit, exhausting, and rarely pays $50/hr.

Like I said, Christmas week and President’s week are easily 50/hour. Along with leaf peeper season. This fall was wild! Unfortunately I’m not making shit right now because there’s no snow so it sucks… but a normal winter season would be at least 30 an hour. That’s in cash. I have a 401k so my paycheck isn’t really anything but I’m not sure what else you want to argue about

I'd believe it. Most bartenders I know in chittenden were able to buy houses.

During Christmas week or presidents week you can. Usually it’s more like 30 or 35. But in fine dining you can absolutely make more than 50 an hour
