If you can pass the background check, don't mind being fingerprinted, and can deal with the chaos + lack of vacations when a lot of your coworkers will have time off, every school district I know of is looking for maintenance/custodial work right now. I don't know the exact details of each district, and I assume they're all slightly different, but pay should start around $18-20 an hour, should be $1 raise a year. Shifts are usually 7 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 10 pm.

If you're qualified for things like plumbing, electrician, etc. You won't have any issue finding work. Those are always in demand.
