The Quechee Inn is relatively close, about 7 miles from Woodstock. It's quaint and beautiful, I had a great stay there! The first-floor bedrooms are very nice! https://www.quecheeinn.com/

Maybe it's just me, but the white river junction holiday Inn is surprisingly nice for a holiday inn.

The Hartness House in Springfield is worth looking into. It’s about a half hour from Woodstock and it’s a beautiful old mansion.

Will check it out! Sounds very cool!!

Stayed at the Vesper last fall. Would do it again. No TV in the room. The Woodstock Inn was fancy AF. Will stay there when I win the lotto.

Thanks will check it out. Is it quiet? I am running the half marathon so want comfy and quiet . No TV is just fine with me!!

It’s quiet-ish, I guess. I didn’t have the windows open. The building is right there on the Main drag, but that means the whole town is easily walkable. Nice big soaking tub.

Yeah great location. As long as there is AC I am fine to not open windows!

Covered bridges, half marathon in June!

I ran the covered bridge in 2012. It was beautiful! Too much downhill for these knees now, but it was gorgeous!

Probably everything is sold out that weekend for the race. (I’ve done it 11 times!) You might want to look at the Aspire in Quechee. Lots of rooms, it seems pretty nice, and it’s close to the finish.
Imaginary-Rabbit5179 OP t1_j5pl1g6 wrote
Wow that's amazing 11 times!! I'm not finding anything. Did it possibly change names? I might just do an Airbnb at this point.

OOPS! The Align Inn. Sorry bout that - it just changed names and I knew it was an A word - I just wrote the wrong word. Used to be the Quality Inn Quechee but it may be under new mgt or something now.

I've stayed at The Shire Woodstock, wasn't anything earth-shattering but would stay there again and great location to walk around Woodstock.
