Yea because it would be safer if it were to crash in the ocean then n land where some people may be..

It’s size was bigger than 2 busses and had equipment on it.. and at that distance, what fell could be dangerous for anyone on the ground if it hit the ground.l it was just much safer to have it fall into the ocean.
