This is fucking horrible, I can’t imagine anyone would survive that. Praying that all non-survivors were taken instantly without pain or knowledge of what happened. Prayers for all involved and let this teach us all that tomorrow is not promised to any of us, make amends with who you need to today now and quit taking life for granted 🙏✌️🙏

Was the shake that is in the video a wave of the earthquake or the shaking as the building fell?

Oh my, I have been warning people against an earthquake going to happen in Turkey for the last 10 years. The only positive thing is that the epicenter was much further away from Istanbul than I anticipated.

The main problem they face is a large amount of buildings have been developed by corrupt developers who skip out on metal reinforcements inside the cement. The buildings don't stand a chance against earthquakes of this magnitude :(

You are right sadly.

governments have not learned their lesson since 1999 Golcuk earthquake and didn't care of these fraudulent contractors. Some of contractors got jailed for life but some of them continued to build buildings...

I really hope that was an office building and not housing.

Think about that praying you're doing. You're praying to a God, hoping that he makes everyone safe or lessens the pain, when that same God let this happen and could have prevented this (if he existed). I don't understand the logic.

Ok, I know this is minor, but what's up with this "the moment" trend in clickbait? It's everywhere. Could you just write"Video captures a multi-story building collapsing..."? Adding "the moment" to every headline is superfluous.
