Pretty crappy situation. I believe that his his apology was sincere but there are definitely elements of self preservation in it.
I can also understand her not wanting to believe it is a sincere apology because of her past trauma.
I don’t really know what people expect or want to come from these situations that happen under the scrutiny of the very public opinion.
It’s really a lose - lose.

It sounds like you she does understand how his actions can't be normal and are normalized. But as she said she's tired of these types of actions being normalized, that's also fair. Also I think Andrew's explanation simply explains his actions it in no way justifies them. He knew what he was doing, and he was doing it strictly for personal gain and self gratification. We are all adults we all have the tools to learn, I believe that on some level he knew what he was doing was wrong but it was working for him so he chose to continue behaving this way because he was getting away with it.
