Yeah, he was definitely tricked into thinking he was speaking to someone privately and in confidence, but I can’t imagine inventing a story this devious to impress a date. Why wouldn’t he exaggerate on how great Pfizer is as a company rather than how unethical it is?

Sharing ‘knowledge’ that only he is aware of as an executive is more impressive than fawning over the company. Also builds a level of trust with the other person. Primer for sexual activity later.
