The major cloud providers have huge excess capacity of GPUs sitting idle.

The GPU upgrade cycle is ~10 years (The 2012 Kepler series has recently been deprecated) .

TPUs give an order of magnitude better price performance than GPUs for AI.

Anybody expecting a rush of purchases is deluded.

And how powerful or valuable of a GPU does one need to drive that tech vs a stronger CPU?

AI will drive a high tide for many tech stocks, but once it's obvious that these companies benefit little from AI, then they will crash.

Let's see what they can do, but that P/E ratio is absurd... it's like Tesla and Airbnb combined lmao

How powerful? Think of it more like a semi truck and a Ferarri. Both have use cases and limitations and if you want to fully leverage the road.

Which is what makes it weird, the core investment thesis was a miss, coming in below expectations for DC revenue.
