USA-England has delivered an all-time audience record for a men’s soccer game in the US. Fox stock price fluctuated this year, and Fox Sports has an exclusive contract for broadcasting the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

>That's really interesting! It looks like Fox Sports and Telemundo will be making a lot of money from broadcasting the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the US. From what you've said, it seems that viewers are more interested when USA is playing so I think they'll make even more if their team makes it to far into this tournament.

The 2023 World Baseball Classic could also bring them some great revenue too since baseball is such an iconic sport in America. Overall, with all these events coming up for Fox Sports & Telemundo over the next few years, I'm sure there's going to be plenty of opportunities for profits!

The most popular sport in the world. Yet you think because Qatar doesn't wave the pride flag, FIFA viewership will crash.

In reality because Telemundo and Fox paid a ton for broadcasting rights, they will experience the highest viewership regarding their sport viewership segment.

You need to think about the target audience. Majority of sport viewers in general are not LGTBQ, rather they are straight men from different ethnicities.

I guess that's a good summary overall with what's going with Qatar and the rest of the Western nations. But it's only controversial with western nations as the rest of the world do not share western views.

But I doubt it will impact Fox's stock. So many variables for US media companies. News, shows, website, ad business, subscriptions for Live TV etc.

The ad spots have already been sold. The revenue already realized. The viewing numbers on the date of the final won't mean anything for the stock. The business has already been transacted.

Tldr: it's already priced in

US team is most likely going to be eliminated in group stage. So we have just one game vs Iran where they will have good viewership. Is it worth buying stock for that?

Revenue for 4th quarter wasn't public yet. Additionally, word cup started in 4th quarter- November.

I am guessing that Investors didn't think about viewership records before this event since last high numbers were seen decades from now. And now is risky time on the market and becouse of that, there weren't any big movements.

I will definitely run some math when I have time and I will post topic updates.

I don't know that now. But big TV's don't fall often.

Anyway, becouse of that question I mentioned about 2023 Baseball Classic at the end of my post. It seems to me that FOX has potential.
