I think it has to do with them being stable while their main competitor Intel is flushing down the drain faster than blockbuster video.

Intel really disappointed and people were expecting really bad results from amd and later in February from nvidia

I agree with that point. They are gaining a larger share of the market but these numbers are really low IMO.

I agree, I have been following this stock for years. I honestly thought it was under valued and they'd be taking in 10 Billion in revenue by now. On the other hand, Intel's margins are so low it's clear they are selling their products really cheap so that they don't cede their considerable market to AMD. They can't pull that stunt for very long so they either need some kind of technical breakthrough or they're going to have to seriously restructure the company. I see Intel as a dumpster fire and AMD as a stable company a few years away from some accelerated growth. I'm in AMD a bit too much at this point looking for an out (for now).
