You’ll be fine. It’s like living in any city, does stuff happen sometimes, sure, but it’s not like you’re gonna run the risk of being robbed, shot, or stabbed everyday.

Because it’s a walkable distance to where I will be working for. But I am deciding to find another place farther that is near the green line. Airbnb reviews said it was a safe neighborhood, but I am also getting comments that there a rise in shooting and carjacking in the area

Green line U St stop is safer than Columbia Heights stop.

I used to have 4 very busy Airbnbs at 16th/U St across from Starbucks. 3 blocks from U St metro

My advice is to be a short walking distance from a Starbucks in any city
