I’m going to see Into the Woods on Sunday at the Kennedy Center, and cannot for the life of me find anything on their website in terms of a bag policy. I just need to be able to plan accordingly since I’m a type one diabetic and need to bring extra stuff with me. TIA! :)

I went to Wicked in December and didn't notice any limitations on bag size or bag checks. Most attendees had tote bags or purses.

I don't think there is a specific bag policy as far as size, material, etc. Some shows/performers (e.g. Hamilton, Sarah Silverman) have implemented metal detectors and bag searches recently, though, so be aware that whatever you do bring may be searched. (I haven't seen Into the Woods so I don't know whether they've opted into searches.)

If you can fit it under your seats, it's definitely no problem. I've brought a large purse all the time.

They don't really care. You can bring a tote or large purse and be totally fine. They don't check except for super big shows like Hamilton. I go to 12+ KC shows a year and have only ever been checked at Hamilton.

Bags with medical supplies are usually tagged differently… at least they are at Nats games. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m asthmatic and every time security opens my bag and sees my inhaler they tag my bag as ‘medical.’

The last time I was there, I brought a relatively large leather purse (about the size of a laptop). Had no issues.

I've brought my laptop in a backpack, no.problem. I once had a flight land late and I had to go with my rolling suitcase and meet my husband in the concert hall. No problem!
