I have a new job where I have to step up my work attire game. I live less than 1 mile from my new workplace but I don’t have a designated office space which is fine for me. My question is: I would like to wear my workout clothes, use the gym at my work, then change into my work clothes. What do you all do to prevent your clothes from wrinkling? I’m anticipating being able to at least leave my blazers in a space at work but not my pants/shirts. Should I get a wrinkle release spray or is there something else portable I can use to make sure I’m dressed for success in the office?

This is a long term thing but I just don’t buy clothes that wrinkle. I can’t be bothered to iron so I won’t buy anything that has wrinkles in the store.

Alternatively, wear your work clothes to the gym so they don’t wrinkle, and then keep them folded nicely in the gym locker.

If you live that close just go work out then go home. Change and go to work. Use the to and from walk/jog as cardio and then weights only at the gym

You can roll clothes . This prevents them from wrinkling

Fold them first as in pant legs together or sleeves tucked in . Then put on bed or table and roll them tightly. Saves space too

Would there not be a locker at the gym? I'm having a hard time believing that clothes would get wrinkled over a 15 minute walk.

Agreed. Neatly folded clothes in a gym bag that are immediately hung up when you get to the gym should not wrinkle. Unless OP is particular bothered by the smallest of imperfections, I don’t see how this is an issue.

But as others have said, a travel steamer could help get out those small imperfections.

People bike to work with the work clothes on their backs, its definitely possible.

Though I'll admit I wasn't full suit. Like all other advice in life, just do a barrel roll.

Do you have space to hang a small garment bag? If so, on Monday bring in one week's worth of clothes (remember you can wear blazers multiple times, etc.). On Friday, take them home and lather, rinse, repeat. Also, your work shoes can just live at work. Depending on your job/style you can leave things to re-wear at work. (There was an experiment where a guy wore the exact same suit/shirt/tie every day for a year and no one ever commented on it.)

I’ve had this same predicament compounded by just hilarious levels of sweatiness. Buy wrinkle-free, sweat wicking clothing. State & Liberty, Mizzen and Main, Rhône, Lululemon. I am fully on Team Never-Cotton

Check out the pack-it system. It'll fold up your clothes into a neat little envelope and they won't wrinkle. That's what my husband uses for bike commutes.

If you can find a way to leave more clothes at work, my suggestion is to wear nice clothes to the gym, change to gym clothes there while hanging your nice clothes, then shower/change back after your workout.

When I used to bike to work I bought a garment bag that rolled and was a backpack, that worked well. Now that I drive I take a bunch of suits and shirts and keep them in my cube and change in the bathroom.

Your clothes won't get too wrinkled in a bag on a mile walk. I bike and have my dress pants and shirt (and socks and undershirt) in my bike bag. I change into them at work and they look fine. Helps to have wool or non-iron material.

I keep my suit jackets and dress shoes and belt at work to reduce my bag load.
