I can’t read article as it’s behind a paywall, but an interesting fact is as a cop I can’t utilize a chokehold to subdue someone and would likely be charged with a crime for using one. I could only use a chokehold if I was in a position to use deadly force and it was my only option.

Is a gunman shooting people not reason enough to use deadly force? I don’t think civilians are often in a position where they’re dishing out chokeholds for no reason and it not qualifying as assault.

pretty sure an active shooter is reason enough to use deadly force lmao cops aren’t allowed to use chokeholds because they keep choking people out during traffic stops

If cops would stop killing people with chokeholds, society wouldn’t have to make it illegal.
