I live above the Safeway on 14th and thought I was moving into a cute, quiet little neighborhood. Little did I know there would be crazy people stealing and fighting outside on a daily basis and shootings at the metro

It’s a safe neighborhood for the most part, but the spate of violent incidents at and around the station in recent months is definitely concerning. There were several proposals to “activate” the station’s plaza in addition to other improvements. But who knows if these will ever happen.

What does that mean, exactly? Like build shops or whatever? Or a park?

Basically hosting community events there. A separate project would improve the plaza. Kinda what they did with Eastern Market

I mean it’s just a few blocks from Lincoln Park, which is generally known to be an affluent area
