Cherry blossoms have been blooming for several weeks now, no?

There's a vacant house across the alley from us with a long grassy back yard (no fence) that only gets mowed when we file a rat complaint with 311. I really want to plant a saucer magnolia in their yard so I can see it from my home office, lol.

One thing that never ceases to amuse me: throngs of tourists taking photos of the magnolias over by the Archives, thinking they've found the cherry blossoms.

Wow where is this spot in the photo? Any recommendations on where to go see magnolias?

Weโ€™ve actually been somewhat blessed by the seasonably cold weather, which is preserving and extending the magnolias while holding off the cherries

Bless your heart. Theyโ€™ve been blooming for the past two weeks in the National Arboretum.

What other areas have the best cherry blossom/magnolia views outside of the tidal basin/haines point/arboretum?
