Will be visiting DC this weekend and will be wanting bar food later at night probably around 9:00 or 10:00 PM. We love dive bars and places that are not too crowded. We will be in the Capital Hill Area. TYIA â˜ș

Tune Inn. There's no other answer to this one.

Trusty's, on Penn between 14th and 15th. Dive-y as hell, food's good.

Tune Inn is good as well, but I'd describe them as more 'Neighborhood' than 'Dive'.

Should specify “Southeast” for Trusty’s, lest they end up at the Willard looking for a dive bar

OP said they’re staying in CapHill, doesn’t mean they won’t be leaving it

Love Slash Run and does fit all the requirements except isn't really close to Cap Hill. Their burgers and fries tho...

They have another spot now called The Runaway that's really dope. I know the owner and she couldn't be a nicer person, too.

She’s SO kind đŸ„ș I have since moved from DC but back when I lived nearby she always joked she “ordered extra shoestring fries especially” for me because it was what I always ordered. Miss her and Slash Run!

Great shows too! Such a godsend to that area, we’ve been missing a place like this.

A place that is both incredibly family friendly while also showing horror movies on mute during brunch. It rules.
