A family member’s car was stolen on Georgia & Butternut a couple of months back. In talking with the LEO to file the report, the LEO mentioned to me that these youth who are carjacking are highly organized and they’re usually getting the order from and adult or an older teenager because they know that the juvenile justice system is rather light on juveniles. It is the same concept of a drug dealer using children to peddle dope in the community because they know the charges will be light on the child. I think LE needs to really investigate these cases through an organized crime framework.
