We can't find any Vegan sushi joints for the life of us. Any places around the greater DC area anyone would recommend?

Planta!! There’s a location in Bethesda and they’re opening a second one in Foggy Bottom soon. Lots of options including a “spicy tuna” and a “baked crab” roll.

Nara-ya on the wharf has a Green Dragon roll that is vegan, otherwise Sticky Rice is a safe bet with lots of vegan options.

It's a thing. They cut up some fruits and vegetable and stick them on a log of rice and charge a fortune and call it vegan sushi. It's a vegan yuppie thing.

Sushi refers to the preparation, not the fish.
Edit: Specifically, “sushi” is any of a number of preparations of vinegared rice with accompaniments that may include fish, but don’t have to.

Planta in Bethesda has vegan sushi. Small selection but quite good.
