They used to double park, then there were bike lanes.
Then bounties were suggested for bike lane violators so they moved to the side walk.
Next there will be a massive sidewalk parking enforcement and soon you will see Amazon trucks parked in apartment lobbies.
After the next mayor makes amazon trucks idling in lobbies unattended a campaign issue you will see electric amazon cars driving up and down apartment building hallways chucking packages at doors.

Pay for a garage? Safety takes priority over storage of private property.
Plus frankly a lot of those cars almost never move.

You can find a car in this spot almost every day if you're looking for it. Honestly it's more a case of bad design than user error.
