Have you ever hosted to or been to a good baby shower in DC? Looking for any ideas for a nice venue to host a baby shower for30-40 people. Looking for something that won’t break the bank and in NE. I’ve checked into a few restaurants like crazy aunt Helen’s already that will provide food & bev but I would love to hear any ideas or experiences people have had!

You can look for restaurants with private dining spaces on OpenTable.

We had our rehearsal luncheon at Mission Navy Yard, and my MIL said they were amazing to work with. She hosted by bridal shower at Denizen's, which was also great, but may be more difficult during winter when people are less likely to use the outdoor area.

Not sure of the vibe you’re looking for, but I’ve seen people have them at The Brig beer garden.

I’ll take a look! The shower will be in February so an indoor venue would be nice

Culture Coffee on South Dakota and Riggs NE. Nice venue space with floor to ceiling windows, lots of movable furniture and you can bring your own caterer. The owner Ms. V is a gem

Big bear cafe does events! Their inside space is really cute.

We had our wedding reception at Ivy City Smokehouse. They had a minimum for food and drink that was very reasonable for their indoor space (the patio was much more expensive).

Rent a park building? $60 an hour, four hour minimum, $240 for a weekend, half that for a weekday. Some have kitchens with fridge and warming oven. Some provide tables and chairs, usually lots of free parking.
