Notorious for years. A lot of other drivers slow down to 25 through there. Let that be your cue.

Didn't notice you were driving 11mph over the speed limit? Like , you think driving 25mph is the same as driving 36mph? Or you don't see the posted speed limit signs and at the same time don't pay attention to the speedometer in your car? Instead of complaining, I recommend, you know, that you take responsibility for your actions. Looking for sympathy from others caught speeding is a weird flex to trying to justify your actions that, uh, you broke the law and got busted for it twice.

I'll let you in on three well known, non-secrets:

  1. DC speed cameras only ticket at 11+mph over.
  2. DC government keeps an active website that literally tells you where speed cameras are posted.
  3. If you don't speed, you will never get a ticket for speeding.

I chose to call you out for whining about getting not one, but two speeding tickets going 11 over the speed limit. Nothing that you wrote showed ownership that you broke the law, it was just passive excuses to the fact you were breaking the law. 1) You call out you didn't know the speed limit when there are plenty of posted signs that state what it is on a road you've taken at least twice, and I bet those signs have a little sign below them saying "photo enforced" below them 2) that you didn't realize the speed you were driving relative to whatever the speed limit you thought it was. 3) your lack of remorse to even admitting you were neglectfully speeding...but you now say you were just "crowd sourcing" information? Like what for.

Nothing I've said is mean, it's just straight facts of life and honestly your post showed you aren't concerned about paying attention while driving... which isn't really safe behavior for the rest of us who live here to. Like how speeding tickets are a thing and you got two at the same spot. It sucks you are out $200, and I've paid my fair share of speeding tickets here as well, but if you don't want to pay the fine then don't speed. If you don't know what speed a road is in the District, guess 25 until you see a posted sign.
