Hi there. I recently bought a condo that came with a brand new, high-end washer/dryer set the builders put in that made no sense for the unit and space. I have since purchased and installed my preferred appliances and have been looking to sell the original set with no luck. It is in brand new condition and has never been used. I have had some hits on Craigs List and FB Marketplace, but buyers eventually renege or flake. I don't think it's an issue of price - it's priced at half off retail and I'm open to negotiation - perhaps it's more of a logistics issue of getting the units out of my space. At any rate, any suggestions on how to move this item out? I am open to appliance resellers, builder tips, other ideas. At this point it's less about the money and more about getting it out of here :)

Thanks!

If you want it off your hands quickly, you need to price it to sell. I bet you can get someone to buy it for 1/2 retail price, but it may take some time to find a buyer.
Keep in mind that any buyer may be iffy on picking up a used appliance… that may also be out of warranty.

Are you just posting this in the DC Craigslist? I bet you'd get a lot more interest if you posted it in suburb-specific Craigslist sites as well.

If you aren't able to sell it and just want it hauled away, Pepco has an appliance recycling program where they'll pay you $50 and come haul away your unwanted (working) appliances.
