I was there yesterday and there was a custodial worker mopping the entire platform. Appreciate them mopping, but the mop water literally smelled like shit. I messaged METRO on Twitter about it and got the “thanks for bringing this to our attention” response lol

Oddly enough I was just there last night and yes, I took the Green line from Gallery Place to U street and it smelled like burning shit the whole way, but was especially bad when I got out at U street.
its like something was on fire and just amplifying the general gross smells that are probably normally unnoticed
