I was just looking up cideries to go to in DC and was surprised to learn that Supreme Core Cider closed. It also seems like their Facebook and Instagram has also been deleted. I was wondering if anyone had any further insight. Was business just bad? Are they relocating? It seems like it was a really popping place. I guess I'm just sad that I never got to go. Having a cidery in DC was really cool.

If you like cider check out Anxo on Kennedy Street! I love their stuff. Too bad if Supreme Core is really closed though, I like their ciders too.

Don’t know why …

My guess is that they expanded way too fast and it caught up to them. Within a year of opening, they were quadrupling production and taking on large investments.

They aren’t the only DC alcoholic beverage producer to close up Shop … 3 Stars & Green Hat Gin are both shut.

Green Hat got bought out by a Kentucky company or something.

That’s such a bummer to hear! If you’re looking for more cider, I’d also recommend Capitol Cider House up in Petworth — super delicious. They also sell at a few farmers’ markets.

Heartbreaking!!! Seconding those who commented recommending Anxo (my absolute favorite cider) and Capitol Cider House. Also I know it's a trek to Arlington- but Lost Boy Cider is also amazing.

We were really bummed to find out they were closed. Facebook/website seems to have last been updated in July, but my wife is sure they were at Brew at the Zoo in late September. I'm shocked someone hasn't provided more info, since Reddit usually seems to know the inside scoop. This makes two places on my Pub Pass that closed before I could visit.
