Has anyone tailored ski pants in DC or DC area? Would love recs of anyone you used. Since I’m short every pair is always too long - these new ones I have are too amazing but just hitting my skis so a little dangerous. Thanks!

do we still reset the days-since if the question is for ski pants?

Good question!

I wouldn’t reset it for this. This seems so specific that you might actually need someone who has handled ski/snow pants before.

You could try Sammy Lee at Capitol Hill Tailor Shop on Penn Ave. He’s never tailored ski pants for me but he’s tailored a bunch of other stuff. He’s very good and prices are reasonable. Just be prepared to wait a bit.

No rec, but i'd imagine it would be very expensive to alter them with multiple layers plus the gaiter.

I'm fairly short myself and I find that while most ski pants are kinda long when worn with normal shoes however paired with ski boots they seem to fit just right. That being said, I believe some brands do offer petite lengths ski pants

Just making sure you tried them with ski boots on which are massive. Combined with the height of the binding, I've never seen ski pants touch the snow or the skis.

The park rat kids you see and pros in movies often wear oversized pants, it's never a problem.

Anyways as far as tailors the one I liked in crystal city closed. Kings park tailors in VA is great, but I'm talking about men's suiting.
