There are dozens of restaurants within a few blocks at varying price points. We'd need more info about your preferences and party size to make anything other than random suggestions.

Casual. Just two of us. We’ll have about an hour. We have been to Matchbox a ton of times and like it, just looking to try something different.

Normally I'd recommend just grabbing seats at the bar at any of the José Andrés restaurants in the neighborhood - Jaleo next to Matchbox, Oyamel and China Chilcano around the corner on 7th, Zaytinya over on 9th - but I think they may all have special set menus for New Year's Eve.

The Chinese restaurants in Chinatown are known for being pretty mediocre, but at least there are a lot of them. I have also enjoyed Absolute Thai over on 5th in the past, but haven't been there in a while.

Even more casual are the options on 7th between G and H. I've heard good things about Eat Brgz - both the burgers and the bar - but haven't been yet myself.

I just saw the game is at 4:00, so if you aren't already eating, you likely don't have time before the game...
