Pick-up spot at Friendship Heights metro

Hi there! I pick someone up every Tuesday night at the Friendship Heights metro and I’ve yet to find a safe spot to idle for a minute or two while she comes up and walks to my car. They don’t have a kiss and ride area, and a lot of the streets around there are no parking or if there is street parking, spots are very rarely available. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can have her meet me? Every week I just kind of drive around the block while I’m waiting and then it takes forever for us to find one another. Thanks!

There's a drop off lane in front of the Embassy suites on Military. You can get from the train to that door without ever going outside.

Geico parking lot near the whole foods. Always plenty of parking and security won't bother you unless you're there for hours.

Idle outside of Clyde’s at Chevy Chase Collection. That’s what people do - signs say 10 min parking. She can walk up escalator and reach you quickly.

Would that be right on wisconsin or in the parking area that goes by it?

Going northbound on Wisconsin, turn right into Chevy Chase Collection. You won’t be entering a parking garage. You’ll see signs outside Sushiko/Capital One that day 10 min parking. Park there. She will walk up escalator and turn 90 degrees to the right and walk 25-30 steps and see you.

There is a short driveway right next to the Jenifer Street elevator. I've used it for years with no problem.

i commented on the other thread. i live in the area and neither me or my tiny gf have had any issues walking in that neighborhood even at late hours. dont pay it too much thought.
