National Portrait Gallery / Smithsonian American Art Museum is open till 7pm everyday so you could still go there.

American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery are open until 7pm, so you may be able to visit those.

If you’re into theatre, music, or performing arts, you could maybe plan to see a show at the Kennedy Center or another local venue (The Anthem, Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth, Ford’s Theatre, Warner Theatre, National Theatre, Studio Theatre, etc.).
