Look by the wharf!

It is in the vicinity of Dulles airport - there are a lot of options out there. If you don't plan to be in DC specifically you may have better luck asking the people over at r/nova.

Q: Which Smithsonian Air and Space? The one on the Mall or the Udvar Hazy? Assuming Mall any hotel between 15th Street and 7th St, G street and Constitution will work. Those are expensive addresses but also consider that the metro has a stop on the Mall so that will put you there as well. Georgetown has no metro access. If you want to save money look at metro stops around the Mall and go 3 or 5 stops out.

DC is not very big land area wise. A few mile radius covers large swaths of the city. You can even venture out to Arlington. There is a Sheraton on Columbia Pike and Washington Blvd with generous and relatively cheap parking that is a six minute drive from the Lincoln Memorial. If your main needs are parking and proximity I would choose there.

I'll be checking out both Air and Space locations but I'd like to have a place downtown. Thanks for the info!
