Most of the vanities these days are of flimsy quality. I had the carpenters at Woodworkers Club in Rockville reproduce a vanity from a picture. I had a choice of woods, and the price was competitive.

Porcelanosa and Architectural Ceramics are high end tile shops .

Floor and DECOR has some ok stuff

If we were to make a walnut box frame, 6" tall x 36" (estimated) long x  18" (estimated) deep, the cost would be $890 plus tax.  If we were to  make a shelved unit roughly 20" tall x 36" wide and 18" deep without a  back, it would be $1575 plus tax.  If you pay with cash or check you  may take a 5% discount.  These are for solid walnut hardwood finished  with a hard wax/oil to a satin sheen.  Please take a look at the
