lmao, people always say this, but imagine coordinating that many people's finances and getting all of them to prioritize putting all that money in escrow for half a year while they wait on the others. Then you have to assume no major life altering events happen in the space of time where you're waiting on everyone to put in that would cause someone to flake out.

Getting 8 people to agree on a brunch location is already nearly impossible, imagine getting twice that many to buy a house with their life savings
