My cat has been I’ll recently and the insurance advised I take him in. I haven’t found a vet since I moved here. Does anyone have experience with Georgetown Veterinary Hospital or DuPont Veterinary Clinic?

Georgetown Veterinary Hospital is great and you will see many comments here about them. Do not delay--take your cat there.

I have had a great experience with Dupont, but I wouldn't call them all that affordable.

DuPont Veterinary clinic is fantastic, and kept my train wreck of a cat alive during a very difficult adoption transition. I will heartily vouch for them. If you can get onto their schedule, it's worth it.

P Street Pet Practice, most affordable and friendly vet in the city. Even with the Uber to and from it’s been cheaper than going anywhere else. Hope your kitty feels better!

The VCA on MacArthur in the Palisades is fantastic.

Adams Morgan Animal Hospital is great. When it’s not busy the vet techs love to pop in to give my cat love and treats to reinforce a positive (pawsitive?) experience with the vet office. One time we made an emergency visit but the problem resolved itself on the way, so they checked her over to be sure and let us go for free. I love everyone that works there.

If you’re in a bind, there’s an emergency vet on M in West End. They’re also great and took excellent care of us.

I second Adam’s Morgan but it’s not cheap. Routinely paying double what I did before moving to DC.
