That's not nearly enough. The people of Yemen deserve so much better! They need help now, not in 2026. It's outrageous that it has taken this long to raise the money they need.

Considering the terrible crisis there is in Yemen, 1,2 billion for the whole world is really a very low sum.

If the West shared the belief that all men are created equal, than their suffering would also create a equal response. Unfortunately the situation in Yemen is caused by Saudi Arabia, one of USA closest allies. While billions of dollars are sent to Ukraine, not only by USA but also the rest of the west, nothing near what UN is sending to Yemen is matched by the USA/West. ”The hypocrisy of our democracy”.

Sure, if the Western response to Russia's genocidal war of European conquest was based on a humanitarian concern for suffering. But here you have invented a strawman.

A war in Yemen between Iran-backed rebels and Saudi Arabia for the internationally recognized government of Yemen doesn't have nearly the same Western security implications.
