Same. I'm so excited to watch the robot apocalypse. Just need to stockpile enough popcorn before all the crops drown and I'm ready!

You can set this map to 6ft to see the amount of land we'd lose. Lots of coastal cities would be devastated and that's not even including other glaciers melting. It's probably not counting thermal expansion of the water in the oceans which happens when the oceans warm up.

According to this map only the USA will face issues. The rest of the world can relax, even 10 feet sea level rise is a non-issue.

Good luck to the Americans!

Consumers don't want to reduce consumption, producers don't want to reduce profits, governments don't want to centrally plan their economies. Toothless promises several decades in the future of net-zero. Should hit the 2500 Gt CO2e mark no problem.

We will grudgingly make changes - too little, too late - after things get really bad.

I have a serious question, so I heard some scientist on BBC radio a few years back saying that the rise in sea levels does not equate to the amount of new water made by melted ice. He went on to say that the weight of the extra water actually pushes down on the seabed effectively making space for itself to a degree, he estimated that the actual rise in sea level was only going to be something like 2 feet which he went on to say would still be catastrophic for many people. Was he right?

People are always talking about the melting ice sheets. But water expands when it warms up. Image the volume of the entire ocean increasing.

Whenever this happens all the climate change deniers in here still wont be convinced. Its crazy how crazy these people are. When the oceans knocking on their doors they still will never accept they were stupid and wrong.

Last week was the final warning from scientists. 2 weeks before that we were already past the tipping point.

At the current rate we’ll hit that point in about 13-14 years. DeSantis will need his cute white rain boots more frequently then
