It starts

It starts WITH THE HEADLINE.

Yes, article is written better that the headline. However, the HEADLINE is un-factual, uncritical repetition of Russian propaganda.

Unacceptable.

I remember how I tried a little bit in journalism. The first thing chief taught me, was that headline is more important than the text of the article itself. All that matters is to force people to make that "click". But it was a small shitty regional newspaper and I can be wrong. But this headline really sucks. But then again, I'm Ukrainian and I'm biased as heck.

You are screaming about things nobody, not even Ukraine, dispute. There are movies and photos of civilian cars with civilians of all ages and sexes crossing the rivier. Why do you think Ukraine call them forced deportions if they are not happening? There is no reason for Russia to say they've stopped if they haven't since that makes their military more vulnerable when crossing the river.

And everybody expects there to be some kind of battle for Kherson, whether it will be a slow siege or an attempt to cut it off from the rest of the Russian forces or a direct assault.

Russia LIES. All the time. Russia employs "firehose of falsehood" techniques constantly. "There is no reason for Russia to lie" is a position of naivete indicating that someone learned nothing over last 8 months.

I have zero reason to think that forced deportations stopped just because Russia says so.

How do you know know that? It's not a fact. E.g. Russia can always chose to withdraw as they did in many other areas.

Presenting the battle as a fact is irresponsible.

Headline is trash here and you know it.

This is the Internet. Sensationalised headlines generate more clicks which in turn generates more ad revenue. Admittedly it's a pretty shitty system but that's what you get when information has to be profitable.

No, but then you wouldn't have to click on the link to disambiguate the title, which is probably the point. Article titles are rarely even chosen by the article's writer nowadays
