China don't PLAY every sport. Their cricket team is shit. (So is the US's, just quietly).

But for the national game? (Table tennis) Yeah, pretty dominant, really.

That's the point though. Numerical representational doesn't matter if you don't account for sociological, political, economical, cultural, etc. factors.
