But only 8 years for decapitating your 17-year-old wife and parading her head around in public (that you married when she was 12 [which was no issue]). Awful news from Iran, today.

From the west to the east, the religious are a plague.

I hate this thing where people hedge their criticism of Iran or some other awful place by also criticizing the west.

It's like someone reading about people starving half the world away and saying "starving there, too much unhealthy fast food making people overweight here. Wow nutrition really is a huge problem everywhere huh."

Not every corner of the earth is suffering from starvation 24/7 365. We also collectively work hard to reduce starvation as much as possible. We don’t want starvation to be occurring and many places are quite free of it.

Religion is vastly opposite to that.

Fuck all these facist dictator states. It’s fucking mind boggling to me that after the 20th century, ww1, and ww2, were still dealing with this bullshit.

This seems like a surefire move to really instigate a revolution. Throwing kids in prison for dancing... burn the whole fucking thing down.

We are banning books in the USA due to this same religious shit. Another country started doing this as well about 75 years ago and that turned out just super. Time to start getting rid of these parasite religions

The article literally says 10.5 years each...

You are not allowed to editorialize headlines.

10.5 X 2 = 21 years, so I guess that is what the source was going for. It is still a ridiculous sentence for merely dancing and I hope you would agree.

I hope they go back and dance again in the exact same spot as soon as they get out. Whenever I meet Iranians they’re vibrant, friendly and love life. The Iranian government is twisted beyond evil.
