Abrams have some logistical issues that the Ukrainians would mightily struggle with, and as far as I am aware (I could be very wrong) Germany is the producer of Leopard 2's and must give permission for those to be given to Ukraine.

Abrams tanks have turbine engines using a very different fuel than all of the other vehicles Ukraine is using. Essentially Jet Fuel vs Diesel fuel. Leopard 2 tanks use diesel.
