Um, so if Israel is just blowing the shit out of Iran's stuff, how is that not going to escalate into a full-blown war?

It very well might? Israel has been planning to hit Iran for years to stop in nuclear program. We have come very close to now or never moment.

I have no doubt they have the capacity and will to do it, likely with Saudi and American tacit support if not outright approval.

Dangerous decade we are in.

I am very concerned that these attacks were opening salvos of an Israel/Iran war, but I think Israel is really just pressing the advantages they currently have:

Significant global focus on Ukraine (less available focus on Israel)

Iran criticized for supplying drones to Russia

Iran experiencing continued unrest internally

I think they have run out of time, and it’s a good time.

I would be surprised if they don’t hit Iran by year end. Diplomacy has failed to resolve the nuclear question.

Iran can’t do anything major, they’re busing repressing it’s second great social upheaval since the Islamic Revolution, Israel is just taking advantage of that to weaken its national rival

They’ve been doing it for years and years. Sabotaging nuclear facilities with explosives, assassinating nuclear scientists, hitting their bases in Syria, etc
