Hm, it could be my inexperience with iOS since this is my first iPhone, but I cannot find anywhere in the stock Calendar app that uses a lateral scroll/swipe gesture.
From what I can see, Schedule View shows events in a vertical scrolling list. Even the split month/schedule view doesn’t use lateral scrolling to change dates. You must click on a new date to see that day’s events. And unlike Google Calendar, iOS Calendar has vertical scrolling months.

Not the Calendar! In Schedule View I see the <[Month] button in the corner and try to swipe back, only to realize it doesn’t work 😕

Yep, thanks for this tip. I had it turned on for a bit but ultimately wasn’t a fan of the shotgun approach. I missed calls I was expecting from companies/businesses I was trying to schedule appts with and it was kind of a hassle trying to call them back.
Maybe the solution is to turn filtering back on during election season! Haha.

I received a consistent flow of spam right up until the end of the midterm elections. Coming from a Pixel, it surprised me to receive so much spam content right as a switched over to my first iPhone. I decided to check my auto-filtered messages on the old phone and, sure enough, all the election and random spam had already been removed from my inbox. It never asked for my attention once. I definitely miss that and the smart call screening as well.

Just pulled my update and now I’ve got a persistent “Get Help During an Emergency” notification that won’t go away 😩
Anyone have tips for getting rid of notifications like these? Clicking on it doesn’t actually do anything, and I’ve already restarted my phone. Came from a Pixel so still learning iPhone quirks.

Reply to comment by BananimusPrime in Why isn’t auto-brightness in the Display & Brightness main setting instead of in Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness (at the very bottom)? Doesn’t seem very “accessible” and should be an easily accessible setting, no? by Mike
This exactly!! I just bought my first iPhone after enjoying my Pixel 3 for years and the fact that auto-brightness setting is so annoying to get to irritates the hell out of me. I really wish it was a toggle in Control Center similar to True Tone, Night Shift, etc. Would make turning settings on/off so much easier for editing photos.

Oh, what.. thanks for teaching me something new! iOS Calendar certainly has a bunch of views/features that aren't obvious to me.
