I'd start out with the basics first. Check out IMDB's Top 250. It covers classic movies as well as movies which were part of pop culture for its era.

I haven't see The Notebook yet, but I do love Rachel McAdams. I recommend 2 other chick flicks that she's in - 'The Time Traveler's Wife' and 'About Time'. You know that Fuck, Kill, or Marry game? She's the one you marry. :)

Here's some trivia. The bad-boy punk who played Packard in 80s sci-fi movie, 'The Wraith', Nick Cassavetes, is also the director of 'The Notebook'.

I'm pretty sure I can take grandma and mom in under a minute, although they may not be conscious when I put the glasses on them.

Alita: Battle Angel. Tom Holkenborg's best work. Very memorable and impactful. I can visualize the scenes for every track and the emotional impact the score had on it.

Didn't they make a TV series with the same characters following the movie?

White privilege? Are you a moron? This was about forcing someone to take the red pill. Morpheus was nicer by offering Neo the choice of a red pill and a blue pill. Yeah, some people really would rather not know, but once you know, would you want to live like that? There's always one Cypher among a thousand people who would rather live in The Matrix, and that person would be you. Yeah, if I knew, I'd beat the hell out of every family member and friend to force them to put on those glasses.

Alita: Battle Angel. It's one of the rare films that was filmed for 3D. You can get the 4K, 3D, Blu-ray, and digital code for $8 at Amazon right now.

Reply to Someone explain me why LOTR movies are so highly regarded by BenefitPale
Aside from excelling at all the fundamentals of movie-making: cinematography, screenplay, acting, costume design, CGI, score, etc.? To me, it's a very human and universal story about friendship, loyalty, honor, bravery, and sacrifice, and bringing out the best in humanity in the worst of times. No different than people's love for superhero movies, but these characters have no superpowers (except Gandalf).
