Fun Fact: the third rail on the Boston systems (red, blue, orange) almost always don't have covers. This is not something that's a part of their design standards. On every other subway system I've done work for, they at least attempt to keep covers on the third rail.

As someone who's worked as a consultant/contractor for several different transit and rail agencies, MBTA's approach to ontrack safety is downright terrifying.

NGL, $25k wouldn't have been enough for me to switch unless I had seen concrete plans that my previous concerns about longevity/stability of the company had been addressed. That's barely 15% and if there's no succession plan in place and something happens in the next few months? Yikes.

I'd stick where you are.

Thirding Bova's. Also excellent price for what you're getting.

My fiance is a HUGE tiramisu fan and Bova's was well received. Whole Foods is a bit mushy and light on the flavor by comparison, but still perfectly good since it's more convenient for us.

Fiance had it done at TLC recently and while he would recommend the procedure in general, TLC didn't do a great job on the aftercare. They scratched his cornea during the procedure and installed a bandage to let it heal (with verbal instructions that it could probably come out in about a week), but didn't schedule any kind of followup to have it removed. It took 2 weeks, multiple calls, and a threat to go to the Board of Opthalmology before they would schedule a follow-up appointment and remove the bandage. His eyesight is great now though, just wouldn't recommend TLC.
