American (brooklyn) Aussie here.

Don’t think you’d find better coffee here. Y’all have amazing coffee over there!

Just some favorite spots I grew up going to a lot:

Worth checking out flushing for the amazing cheap eats in both Chinese and Korean. I find that the food in Chinatown is very lacking these days (compared to flushing and 8th Ave) but as a tourist, it’d be fun. Definitely go to the ice cream factory, mei lai wah, and stop in one of the Hong Kong cafes.

If it’s a nice day, grab a coffee and walk across the brooklyn bridge to dumbo. Get some nice views of the bridge on the old cobblestone streets. At the end, grab some shake shack by the water. (The shroom shack burger is my fav.)

Check out the west village and east village to experience more of an university/young vibe. Tons of food options and usually lots going on.

Pizza - my personal local favorite is the infamous L&B pizza in south brooklyn.

Attractions - highly recommend the New York public library and metropolitan museum. If you do a bit of research, sometimes on Chelsea on the museum/galleries district, there are openings which spell free drinks. Great fun for gallery hopping.

Have fun!
