It even has the lead singer of A-ha for no other reason than that they made a reference to him earlier in the sketch.

I don't really care about ads, obviously there are ways to block them.
What I do care about is millionaires trying to get what they want built in Liberty State Park, by shoveling money into statewide reaching non-profits with ads like this one.

Stupid Life Pro Tip: If you see one of these people, make sure to get in to an accident with them. That way you can have the police come and ticket and tow them for not having registration, plates, or insurance. Then sue them so you get additional entertainment when you go to court.

Correlation and causation are not the same thing. It sucks how social media and it's echo chambers have made so many people armchair scienticians.

The budget hole she partly created by cutting NJ income taxes by 30%, which accelerated the rise of property taxes, because by law 100% of state income tax went to property tax relief through local funding and tax credits for seniors and low/middle income earners.

Just do like firefighters do in an emergency when there's someone parked directly in front of a hydrant. Smash a window on both sides to get through.

A trip as a 6 year old to Caldor/Bradlees/K-Mart meant a hot dog, soft pretzel, and a soda or icee for me on the way out of the store. I loved going to one of them.
Saturday was kids bowling league for me though later, they basically had the same lunch counter.

Which is part of the reason the comment sections went away. Why pay people to moderate a cesspool when you majority own a discussion website that will link to your content, and that people voluntarily mod?

It was a big difference from even before inflation, with the Chinese menu. Most of the prices were around half of what they are now. The chicken place was already overpriced back then, so they're up only about 40%

The white (non-hispanic) population exploded from <checks notes> 21.7% to 22.1% from 2013 to 2020, only making it either the 3rd or 4th largest ethnic group depending how you're counting in both years. Jersey City is a VERY diverse city, and has not stopped being one.

I recently found 20 year old mint condition menus from two local takeout places I frequent. All because I cleaned every newer one out of the house and went hunting for them.

I've had one for a year and it was a huge improvement over my old desk. Still sturdy and no warping.

That's how you end up with a car that's 15+ years old with less than 100k miles.

I agree that land yacht drivers need to chill in general, but I need to note that this technically happened in Jersey City, not out in the sticks.

I was turning into a shopping center parking lot earlier this week, and the car that was turning in front of me hit the brakes hard to let another car by. I rolled my eyes, but the guy in the giant F-5Million truck right behind me laid on his horn and I could hear him yelling out his window. He also tapped my bumper ever so slightly. He disappeared after that.
The woman driving the car came to angrily confront me after I had parked, thinking that I was the one that was pissed off with her. I told her that I don't honk for inconveniences, and about the truck behind me. We both agreed in the end that people need to learn to fucking relax.
If you're always in a hurry, maybe calm the fuck down a bit. Maybe leave five minutes earlier in your enormous landraper, so you don't have to rush so much that you hit somebody and flee the scene instead of getting the frosty you originally wanted.

As a teenager in the area years ago, we would go Cheesequake and park not far from this place to hike and hang out in a picnic area close to this and smoke weed. The views were great from some spots on the hiking trail.
I'd wager money that if the camera was turned to the right you would see The Garden State Parkway.

They showed their storm surge forecast map for Sandy to Chris Christie and he thought they were joking, so he told them to come back "with the real map". An hour later they presented him with the same map, and that's the moment he knew it was going to be really bad.
