Where will you be hiking?

I’ve hiked and snow shoed all winter in keens, Oboz, vasque, solomon. Needless to say we deal with a decent amount of snow in Alaska so a good pair of gaiters helps a great deal. Merino wool socks and fox river sock liners are fantastic to have. 5k isn’t long enough that you really have to worry about insulated boots unless it’s going to be below -20, which I doubt you will be hiking in.

I’d be willing to wager it’s been keeping people warm for close to 60 years.

Spent much time in Asia? Where everything is shiny and bright and still manages to look like a knock off built by aliens who are mimicking human construction.

Same impression I got from vegas. Everything looks like it’s nothing but a styrofoam facade covering up total shit. Disneyland is more real.

I have had a pair of Thursday Captains for about six months. I’ve been very happy with them. Quality is on par with my Allen Edmunds. They are very comfortable for a business casual type of boot with a solid shank and good structure. They look fantastic and definitely draw attention without being overstated. 10/10 would by again.
